we implemented several improvements for our flagship product Open Nettest, one of which is the possibility to select a custom measurment server by the user on the public portal. This is a new and pilot feature which is available at the Open Nettest public portal.
A new drop down list includes all the available options for the user, ordered by the distance from the user. The user can chose any server from the list and start a measurement. A default server is pre-selected based on the geographical distance between the user and the server.
The feature is only available on the web portal at the moment. However, we plan to rolled it out for mobile devices in the future too.
